IT"S A BOY!

We are excited to announce that... SHE HAD THE BABY! It's a boy. He was 8lbs. 4oz. and 19" long. He was born at 1:20 a.m. today, the 9th. So all day, our social worker kept the secret because the birth mother, Laquana wanted to be able to tell us. She is AMAZING. We had an hour long coversation with her about the baby and about us and about her. She is feeling firm in her decision, but will sign the papers tomorrow and leave the hospital tomorrow. Our son (Lord willing) will go to foster care until we can come and get him. He is going to go to the same foster home Aniah stayed in, which is awesome because they weren't doing foster care because they just adopted a daughter from Vietnam, but are going to do it for us! Laquana will then have until May 19 to change her mind. In the mean time our interstate papers will be sent to North Carolina and then on to Iowa so we can leave the state with the baby. We don't know when we will be leaving yet but want to see how she does tomorrow, etc. Please pray for her, she loves him so much, but is choosing something so selfless and giving us everything. Please pray fervently for Laquana and her choice, tomorrow will be a REALLY hard day for her. We will update when we hear about how tomorrow goes for her. One other amazing thing, is that she gave him the name that Ryan and I chose and put that name on his birth certificate!!! We are amazed and humbled by how God can work! Keep praying!!!
