Hello everyone,
We just received some not so good news. I am not going to go into great detail, but here it is. There was a "potential" birth father that came forward just prior to Laquana signing the papers today. He is 40 years old, has a very stable job and actually has supported Laquana through all this. He has paid her Dr. bills and has been supportive. He could potentially be the birth father. If he is, he does not want the child placed with us. He would parent the child himself then. He is having DNA testing done and the results won't come back for 7-10 days. If he is not the father, Laquana still wants us to parent her child. This has been very hard on the both of us, and we are asking that you get on your knees and pray with us.

We will be praying fervantly for you during these next few weeks. The only assurance that I can give you is that all of this is still in God's hands. Sometimes he brings these uncertain times into our lives so that we climb up into his lap and just pour out our hearts to him.

We are praying for you!! It is hard to know why God's plan is not always ours! He has a plan and that isn't always easy to hear i know that but it is all i can say. We will be praying for you and the baby!

What a roller coaster ride for you all. You have been on my heart all day, whispering prayers that God will be with Laquana and Your Family this Mother's Day. I can't imagine how this poor gal has found the perfect home for her little guy and to deal with this has to be a huge wave of emotions for her as well You all. May God give you that extra warm feeling of Love as you wait on the answer. This little guy is being prayed for so much! Thinking and praying for You!
