Be Still and Know

We just wanted to update everyone without having to call everyone because emotionally we are not really up to that. We haven't heard anything. I talked with our social worker, who is also Laquana's counselor. Laquana was supposed to call her last Thursday after her doctor's appointment but she has not heard from her since. This leads us to believe that she had the baby and chose to parent the child. We are not sure of this, but in my experience that is probably the case. So we were warned repeatedly about her being unsure but it is still hard for us. We are wanting another child and so it is hard to see how God is working. In the end all this will be worth it but the process is so hard. Aniah and I went to have lunch with Ryan today in Le Mars and on the way home I heard the song that says, be still and know that the Lord is God, that is what this process is all about. We believe we are called to adopt and we know God has a plan even when it is hard to see. We can be still and know that He is working in a birth mother's heart right now. Please pray for that birth mother and our child and us. We appreciate all of your support and know you are praying for us. We do have good news this week too though, we got the Katelyn's Fund grant and so at this point in time we have all the money we need for placement day with this grant, our garage sales, and our fundraising! God is faithful to provide when we place our trust in him. We will update if we hear anything new.
