We are officially a waiting family! We printed off one profile book and sent it to CAS to be shown to birth parents and will print off more books after we get our pictures taken the first week in May. We sent in all of our grant applications and already know that we were awarded two of those grants. One of those grants is a matching grant through Micah Fund. I am thrilled that Micah Fund has decided to expand and allow Iowa families. The Micah Fund is a ministry we love and are happy that they will match up to $2000 of money we raise for our adoption. We are sending out letters to family and friends, but if you want to donate to Micah Fund on our behalf you can do so on-line at http://micahfund.org/donations/donate-today/ or you can send a check to the address on the website.
We had our tip night which was a big success! Lots of people and lots of love and support for us. My mom had a garage sale last week in Sheldon for us and did well. This week we are having a garage sale in Sioux Center at my sister's house at the corner of 16th St. and 4th Ave. We have lots of girls clothes, many donated items and just a LOT of stuff! So come check it out- I see the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend so we are so thankful for that! We are open Wednesday from 5-8pm, Thursday from 12-8pm, Friday from 10am-8pm, and Saturday 8am-12pm. Garage sale #13.
We have already had some things happening in our adoption and know that God has a plan for us and that He will bring us the right child at the right time. Please pray for us as the adoption journey is not easy and has many ups and downs. Please pray for the child He has already picked out for our family and for the birth parents. It hurts to think of the pain they will experience for us to have a child and for us to have so much joy. Birth parents are so selfless and loving and need many many prayers.
Again thank you for all your support, we could not go through this without the support and love of our family, friends, church, and community. We trust that God's will will be done!
