Prayer Request

We have a prayer request to pass along. We know the power of prayer is great. Eden had a full hearing screen with AEA yesterday. Unfortunately she did not pass this. They are concerned with her right ear more than her left ear. Because of her age they can not determine exactly how much she can hear or how significant her hearing loss is, unless they do a Auditory Brain Response Test. This test needs to be done at Boy's Town in Omaha or Mayo Clinic to Rochester, Minnesota. The Audiologist had more experience dealing with Boy's Town, so we will be taking Eden to get that test done on December 29. Supposedly they give her some medication to make her sleep and hook some electrodes to her head and measure the brain's response to hearing. The doctor will read the test and talk to us after the test is done. Of course we are worried, but there is no need to worry before this test is done and the results are read. We pray that her hearing is fine and nothing is wrong, but if she does have hearing loss that it will not be significant enough to impair her, or that if she does have significant hearing loss, we will have the strength to deal with it in the best way we can. She is saying da da which is encouraging to them, and we can't say we notice her not hearing. But as the Audiologist said, sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between hearing something and her observing something. Please pray for Eden's hearing and for us as we wait and get the results.
